General Aviation Facility
- Location: Bellingham, WA
- Client: Port of Bellingham
- Size: 4,500 SF
The General Aviation Facility, built at the Bellingham International Airport for the Port of Bellingham, is a 4,500 square foot metal building which houses a fueler’s office, airport administrative offices, pilot’s lounge, weather room, and 475 square foot conference room.
The building’s curved roof forms are designed to be evocative of aeronautical forms and hangars, with insulated metal siding colored to match the existing passenger terminal.
Zervas was awarded a Citation Design Award for the General Aviation Facility by the American Institute of Architects Northwest Washington Chapter in 1998.
